I've discovered an online source of information that has been powerful than google or askJeeves in a number of cases. It's my blog community. A few times now, I've asked questions on my blog. And I've gotten amazing detailed and thorough responses, often from people I've never even met or communicated directly with before. Let me thank them profusely, again.
I think this is a really neat inversion of publishing. Blogging is often thought of publishing on the web, with a little bit of interaction/comments. A blog is rarely often thought of a source of information.
It does take a certain amount of work though. A blogger needs a community of people that can answer the question. Given the diversity of questions, it probably means that a large blog community is needed.
This leads me to offer Dave's Blog Law #1:
The quality and diversity of information available is proportional to the quality and diversity of information that is offered.
Basically, it's "you get what you give".
