Woohoo! The W3C has launched the WS-Addressing WG. Congrats(?) to my esteemed collleague Mark Nottingham who is the chair. I've been involved in WS-Addressing for a long time, as far back as summer 2002 working on clarifying how extensions in WS-coordination Port References are handled. I'm really glad to see it getting into the standardization process. It's an aggressive schedule, and there's some interesting technical issues lurking, but I hope we can go quickly. That way we can use it as a foundational piece for other works.
