Another Ultimate State

In the spirit of countries or states visited, I offer a map of states that I have played ultimate in.

I just added the District of Columba, which isn't a state but it is an entity so I'll count it. The pickup game was in front of the Smithsonian Castle. It was really neat playing in the Mall and seeing Congress and various monuments.

As usual, I found the US ultimate style a little too physical for my taste. I left the pick up game with bruised ribs, scraped hands and a bloody knee from a couple collisions. This seems to be consistent as it's similar to what I've found in other pick up games in the States. I figure that if I wanted to get bloody, bruised and scraped, I'd still play Rugby. I really enjoy the style of pickup in Vancouver and particularly the focus on not getting injured. There's no place like home I guess. I find it an interesting small example of Canada and US similarities and differences - Ultimate is very popular in both countries but the styles differ somewhat.
