Lies, damn lies, and snow reports

Sandy and I went snowshoeing tonight up at cypress. We left the hill at 9:58 pm. Conditions were: 3 degrees, raining, no snow on the main road, slush in the parking area.

ALPINE AREA UPDATE:

All chairs are in operation. FRESH NEW POWDER!!!!! GOOD WINTER TREAD TIRES ARE REQUIRED TO TRAVEL ON THE CYPRESS MOUNTAIN ROAD

CONDITIONS:
Base Temperature: : 1c
Weather Conditions: : snowing

I wonder about calling that water thing "snow" when it is coming down in a liquid form. It wasn't even close to snowing when we left 2 minutes before the "snow" report was issued.

Definitely one of the snow reports that's furthest from the truth that I've ever seen.
