24: disappointing so far

|

24 has been pretty lame so far. In the first 4 hours, it's been pretty content free. Each year there's been more and more of the inter-office conflicts, which doesn't do much for me. Are we going to have a full hour of random new people spying on the current staff and getting serious dirt on the current staff within 20 minutes of learning their name and meanwhile nobody trusts anybody else and is busily monitoring each other? And what's with the lame new boss? She's made obvious bad calls, I mean torturing the SecD's kid? Jack robbing the store was a decent twist, but it was set up by stupid organizational politics. But yet again they put Jack into the decision point that wasn't a decision point when he chose to save the kid, how convenient he managed to catch up to "the hostile".

pshah, it's kind of the way X-Files wound down with the constant internal organizational problems and random new org characters rather than actually dealing with new threats/entities/aliens/whatever. I'll probably switch to BitTorrent for watching rather than Cable (as we don't have those fancy Tevo boxes or shoes or whatever they are here). Maybe Carnivale and Battlestar Galactica will be more interesting.
