Definition of an Engineer

Sean McGrath posted his definition of an engineer, which reminded me of my favourite.

An engineer is someone who make for ten cents what any fool can make for a dollar.

What a fabulous definition of an engineer!!! ... do you know the original source of it?

After reading all the traditional definitions ... I decided yours is the best!
