Anybody out in blog land using PVRs in Canada especially BC? I see that Shaw, Rogers, Bell offer PVRs and Tivo claims their service is now available (but not the box) in Canada. Any G2 on which ones are good/lousy would be great...

We've got both the original Expressvu 5900 (non-HD, single tuner) and the new 9200 HD model. The 5900 had lots of problems initially (mind you, this was 5+ years ago - it's stable now), but the 9200 has been a dream from day one. Very very impressed with it, and having two tuners is almost as much of an improvement on TV watching quality as the original one tuner PVR was over having no PVR (PIP, watch one while recording the other, recording overlapped shows due to originator delays, ...). The only thing that could be better is the search system, since history is currently limited to 3 day, and you can only search by title/description. But that's supposed to get better at some point... Also, the 9200 isn't MPEG4 (and isn't upgradeable to support it), so there may be some compatibility issues in the future. But the price is pretty good, so I wasn't concerned.
From what I've heard, Bell & Shaw's PVR's are buggy and just plain annoying to use. This probably came from a TiVo bigot... Then again, I have two Tivos that are being used on Shaw. One with a cable box and one direct. You CAN obtain, and get activation, with TiVos if you buy them in the USA and ship them or bring them to Canada. Tivo's just work, and I'm going to have to break down and buy series 2's soon. But likely not until I get HDTV first...
