TV show Lost = child care?

| | Comments (2)

I'm a big fan of the TV shows Lost, Six Feet Under, Battlestar Galactica, Veronica Mars.

On Lost, they have this wierd plot twist where every 2 hours a special code must be entered into the computer. And then it struck me, like a bolt of lightning from a clear blue and dark violet sky. I was feeding Bryce, on our 3 hour schedule, which seemingly closely mimics Lost's 2 hour schedule, and I realized they are the same schedule.

From lost "you must enter the code"... from real life "you must enter the formula". From lost "When the alarm sounds"... from real life "When the child cries". From lost "It is highly recommended that you and your partner take alternately shifts". Well, that's just life. From lost "from all of us at the dharma initiative, good luck". From real life, from all of us at the create life initiative, good luck.

you clearly need more sleep.

Dave: Lost is a Creation Myth for the new Millenium (See "Quigley in Exile" at URL above). When our babies were little we read a fantastic book by two Cal. women called "How to Help Your Baby Sleep Through the Night." But the trance-like state of asleep/awake night condition for the first six months inadvertently opened a Buddhist path. Good luck with that. - Quigley
